READY FOR DEMANDING CONDITIONS

The new PONSSE Bear harvester performs best in stands with larger diameter trees. Its well designed features enable quick, precise and safe handling of sizeable trees in demanding terrains and conditions. The exceptionally powerful crane uses two slewing motors, which results in an enormous 50 kNm (36,882 lb-ft) of swing torque. The powerful crane, the exceptional swing torque, and the 20-degree tilt of the crane table provide unforeseen timber handling on sloping terrains. PONSSE H8 harvester head has been designed specifically for efficient handling of large challenging stems. The crane and the cabin are located in different parts of the frame, which improves the vision and reduces vibrations on the driver. Great visibility and a comfortable and functional working environment increase efficiency,
productivity and reduce operator fatigue.

STRENGTH
The PONSSE Bear harvester achieves better engine and hydraulic efficiency with lower RPM use than its competitors. This means, among other things, reduced fuel consumption, less operating noise and better performance in handling larger trees.

FRAME STRUCTURE
The optimised balance reduces vibration and ensures a solid and steady feel to the controls. This improves productivity, especially in demanding conditions, such as difficult terrains with big trees.

HYDRAULICS
The efficient hydraulics enable quick and simultaneous harvester head and crane movements, which allow for accelerated handling of small and medium-sized stems. The feed power for large stems is also exceptional when the crane is moving, which makes delimbing even more efficient.
