Certified Pre-owned

Ergo HS16 is the Ponsse Certified Pre-owned

The Ergo HS16 is a full-blooded Ponsse, the main components and systems of which have been repaired or, when necessary, replaced. Careful attention is paid during maintenance overhaul to the functional integration of new and old parts into a powerful, productive new whole. All changes to the machine are based on historical data obtained from the machines and expertise born of experience. Reconditioning steps are carefully documented. In this way, the new owner of the Top Alternative receives a comprehensive information package detailing the machine's new and updated technologies. All machines are reconditioned by the Ponsse Top Alternative Team on an expressly-built production line.

Reconditioning start points

The basic contents of the service programme are determined based on the machine's production year, amount of use and external condition. In addition to information obtained from the machines' operators and service record, the condition of the various components is also ascertained by measurements. All areas - the engine, transmission, bogie, crane, Opti systems, hydraulics and harvester head -- are inspected and tested. The technology and functionality of the basic machine, the crane and the harvester head must all be at the same level.

Thorough tests and measurements

Changes are made to the machine based on its number of operating hours, to promote a balanced final result. Depending on the number of hours of operation, the programme may include the clutch, engine injectors and crane's turning device. The Ponsse Top Alternative Team has measuring systems and they change the hydraulic pumps and engines if the measurement results show a need to do so. The drive hydraulics are also measured and tested as a whole.

The very newest technology for a used machine!

Various technological improvements are made to the Top Alternative, bringing the machine to the same technological level as today's modern harvesters. A PDC Drive Control) is installed as the transmission control system and durability improvements made to the axle structures. The hydraulic pumps are also replaced with the latest models in the HS16 series. Components and structures exhibiting too much wear as determined by inspections are also replaced.

The customer determines the Top Alternative features

Customers also have a lot of input into the features of their own Top Alternatives. They decide which equipment and accessories are appropriate for the intended use. A brand new harvester head can also be installed in place of the old one. The information systems are updated in accordance with the customer's needs.

Professional expertise and cooperation

Emphasis is placed on teamwork among the mechanics and test drivers in Top Alternative projects. The same programme is used in test runs as for brand new machines. A new paint surface gives the finishing touch to the powerful, rugged Top Alternative. The condition of machines may vary when they enter the Top Alternative program, but the finished result is always an absolutely trustworthy Ponsse Top Alternative.
