The first PONSSE forest machine in serial production, the PONSSE PAZ, was manufactured in 1971 for Erkki and Eero Vainikainen in Karttula, Finland. Continuity and a positive spirit of co-operation are important parts of the Ponsse success story. Other parts include reliable and long-term customer relationships which continue from one generation to another, professional and long-term employees, and constant development of products and services. The 7,000th PONSSE forest machine, PONSSE Ergo 8w, was manufactured in Ponsse’s Vieremä factory on Friday 27 August 2010.
